Keeping a watchful & critical eye are the acclaimed judges of Royal Bengal Superstar - Grammy Award Winner noted percussionist and Tabla maestro, Bickram Ghosh, renowned classical singer & one of the most notable torchbearers of the Hindustani classical tradition, Padmashree Rashid Khan-and lifting the spirits on the sets apart from adding a dash of glamour is popular Tollywood actress, Swastika Mukherjee.

Multi-faceted Indian Idol 3 finalist Emon Chatterjee is the host of the show. There are two teams on the show; 6 Champions and 24 Challengers and all participants are going to perform in the first two weeks. Eliminations of the Challengers start from the third week. From the seventh week onwards, the final Eight Challengers will take on the Champions for the crown of Royal Bengal Superstar.

The 6 champions, with a proven track record, who is going to contest with the 24 talented Challengers are Ujjaini, Sanchita, Saptak, Prantik, Ruprekha & Anwesha.
