Storyline: It is a story of the journey of a simple and an innocent earth village girl, Durga, into the real world, where she is endowed with the task of curing her husband and saving her family. It's a story that runs on the common human belief that good always wins over the evil and that nothing wrong would ever happen to a man of good deeds.

Characters
Durga: (played by Sandipta) She is a simple village girl and a great devotee of Ma Durga as she has grown up with the tales of the Durga since her childhood. She is married off to Rupam of the Roy Chowdhury family of Kolkata. She is the saving grace of the family and her husband.

Damini: (played by Swagata Mukherjee) She is beautiful, scheming and highly ambitious. She is the aunt of Rupam, who has been conspiring to kill him slowly to inherit the family fortune that is in his name. She plots the marriage of Rupam with her confidant, Jhumur and also plots his slow death.

Rupam: (played by Gaurav Chatterjee) He is the only son of Arimdam and Jayanti, who survived the accident during the vacation. He is mentally unstable and Damini makes sure that he never recovers from this state. The accident left such a deep scar in his mind that he goes wild whenever he sees fire.
