It began almost 15 years ago when Akshaybhushan Dastidaar retired from the police force. He opened a detective agency - D.D.A Dastidaar Detective Agency. He always wished for a son who could head his agency after his death, but was blessed with a daughter – Mrinalini (Mili). The father-daughter never got along and even in his final will; Akshaybhushan didn’t leave the detective agency to his daughter. But Mili is determined to keep the agency running and becomes the lead investigator. She teams up with her cousin Amolendu - who has a degree in psychology and Anupama Chatterjee - her father’s secretary. In every episode of the show, Mili and her team take on a case and solve it. Running behind these episodic plots will be a few themes - the strong bond between the four people working for the agency, their loyalty to each other and the romantic chemistry between the two protagonists.
